The NFL teams and ownership groups have practiced PR outreach in the week since the NFLPA decertified the afternoon of March 11 and the NFL, not recognizing the action, locked out the players at midnight the same day.
With the threat of a summer without football after April’s NFL Draft, the teams have tried to both reassure fans of the league’s committment to a deal and to express disappointment with the NFLPA’s action to decertify. Each club was on its own in determining how to communicate with the fans, outside of the league’s own press releases.
What follows is a breakdown of statements issued by the clubs, and any owner/top executive interviews conducted with the club’s web site or other media in the week since. The list was compiled by checking each club web site, going over Twitter posts and checking national media sites.
