There were four deals made during the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft on April 28. Because of the labor uncertanty, the league enforced a rule that all draft-weekend trades must involve picks only, not players.

The biggest deal of the first round was the first of the night as Atlanta traded its’ first, second and fourth round picks in 2011 along with its’ first and fourth round selections in 2012 to move up from No. 27 to No. 6 in the first round. The Falcons chose Alabama WR Julio Jones with that selection.

Here is the list of the four deals made April 28:

No. 1: Atlanta trades 2011 Round 1 (No. 27 overall), Round 2 (No. 59 overall), Round 4 (No. 124 overall) and the Falcons’ 2012 Round 1 and Round 4 selections to Cleveland for the Browns’ 2011 Round 1 (No. 6) selection.

No. 2: Jacksonville trades 2011 Round 1 (No. 16 overall) and Round 2 (No. 49 overall) selections to Washington for the Redskins’ 2011 Round 1 (No. 10 overall) selection.

No. 3: Cleveland trades 2011 Round 1 (No. 27 overall from Atlanta) and Round 3 (No. 70 overall) selections to Kansas City for the Chiefs’ 2011 Round 1 (No. 21 overall) selection.

No. 4: New England trades 2011 Round 1 (No. 28 overall) selection to New Orleans for the Saints’ 2011 Round 2 (No. 56 overall) and 2012 Round 1 selections.
