2011 NFL Draft trades; Round 2 and Round 3 selections (April 29)

After four deals during Round 1 of the 2011 NFL Draft, teams were very busy on the second day of the three-day event with nine trades consummated by the clubs during Round 2 and Round 3.

Because of the labor uncertanty, the league is enforcing a rule that all draft-weekend trades must involve picks only, not players.

Here is the list of the nine trades made April 29:

No. 5: Denver trades its 2011 Round 2 (No. 36 overall) selection to San Francisco for the 49ers’ 2011 Round 2 (No. 45 overall), Round 4 (No. 109 overall) and Round 5 (No. 141) selections.

No. 6: Indianapolis trades its 2011 Round 2 (No. 53 overall) and Round 5 (No. 152 overall) to Washington for the Redskins’ 2011 Round 2 (No. 49 overall; from Jacksonville) selection.

No. 7: Chicago trades its 2011 Round 2 (No. 62 overall) and Round 4 (No. 127 overall) selections to Washington for the Redskins’ 2011 Round 2 (No 53 overall; from Indianapolis) selection.

No. 8: Detroit trades its 2011 Round 3 (No. 75 overall), Round 4 (No. 107 overall), Round 5 (No. 154 overall; from Kansas City) and Round 7 (No. 205 overall; Denver) selections to Seattle for the Seahawks’ 2011 Round 2 (No. 57 overall), Round 5 (No. 157 overall; from Baltimore) and Round 7 (No. 209 overall; from Cleveland) selections.

No. 9: Houston trades its 2011 Round 3 (No. 73 overall) and Round 5 (No. 138 overall) selections to New England for the Patriots’ 2011 Round 2 (No. 60 overall) selection.

No. 10: Miami trades its 2011 Round 3 (No. 79 overall), Round 5 (No. 146 overall) and Round 7 (No. 217 overall) selections to Washington for the Redskins’ 2011 Round 2 (No. 62 overall; from Chicago) selection.

No. 11: Jacksonville trades its 2011 Round 3 (No. 80 overall) and Round 6 (No. 182 overall) selections to San Francisco for the 49ers’ 2011 Round 3 (No. 76 overall) selection.

No. 12: New England trades its 2011 Round 3 (No. 92 overall) and Round 4 (No. 125 overall) selections to Oakland for the Raiders’ 2011 Round 7 (No. 219 overall) and 2012 Round 2 selections.
