The debut for two CBS crews and the start of Thursday Night Football on NFL Network highlights the NFL announcer assignments for 2012 Week 2 (Sept. 13-17).
Last week, CBS had only five games, and this week the Tiffany Network shows seven games, so crews 6/F (Bill Macatee–Steve Tasker) and 7/G (Spero Dedes–Steve Beuerlein) will work for the first time in the 2012 regular season.
NFL Network debuts its’ 13-game schedule of Thursday games with a NFC North rivalry game as Chicago visits Green Bay. Brad Nessler and Mike Mayock will have the call for the second straight year while Alex Flanagan will work the sidelines.
FOX with six games, will not use crew 6/F (Sam Rosen–Heath Evans), so crew 7/G (Ron Pitts–MIke Martz–Kristina Pink) will have a game this week.
CBS’ A crew of Jim Nantz–Phil Simms will have New York Jets-Pittsburgh. The B crew of Greg Gumbel-Dan Dierdorf will call Baltimore-Philadelphia. The C crew of Ian Eagle–Dan Fouts will be at Tennessee-San Diego.
FOX’s A crew of Joe Buck–Troy Aikman–Pam Oliver will work Tampa Bay-New York Giants. The B crew of Kenny Albert–Daryl Johnston–Tony Siragusa has Dallas-Seattle. The C crew of Thom Brennaman–Brian Billick–Laura Okmin will have Minnesota-Indianapolis.
Pink continues to work as the field reporter for Pitts-Martz on FOX. No word on if she will be the permanent field reporter for that crew.
NBC will show Sunday night’s Detroit-San Francisco battle, while ESPN will show Denver-Atlanta on Monday night.
