2012 NFL Week 5 announcers (Oct. 4-8)

The beginning of FOX’s annual crew shuffle for the MLB playoffs highlights the NFL announcer assignments for 2012 Week 5 (Oct. 4-8).

With the beginning of Major League Baseball’s playoffs with divisional playoff action this weekend, FOX begins its’ yearly shuffle of crews to accomodate lead play-by-play announcers. Dick Stockton will be calling the St. Louis Cardinals-Washington Nationals series for TBS. With Stockton’s absence, Sam Rosen, who has not called NFL for FOX since Week 1, partners with John Lynch and field reporter Jennifer Hale for Atlanta-Washington.

For the second straight week, there will be a different field reporter for the Chris MyersTim Ryan crew as Kristina Pink, who normally works with the Ron PittsMike Martz crew, will replace Jamie Maggio at Seattle-Carolina. Pitts-Martz are off this week.

With four teams (Dallas, Detroit, Oakland, Tampa Bay) on bye weeks, the NFL has 14 contests this week. FOX only has five games, while CBS has six. For CBS, Spero DedesSteve Beuerlein will not work for the second straight week.

CBS’ A crew of Jim NantzPhil Simms will have Denver-New England. The B crew of Greg Gumbel-Dan Dierdorf will call Cleveland-New York Giants. The C crew of Ian EagleDan Fouts will be at Baltimore-Kansas City.

FOX’s A crew of Joe BuckTroy AikmanPam Oliver will work Philadelphia-Pittsburgh. The B crew of Kenny AlbertDaryl JohnstonTony Siragusa has Chicago-Jacksonville. The C crew of Thom BrennamanBrian BillickLaura Okmin will have Green Bay-Indianapolis.

NFL Network will have Arizona-St. Louis on Thursday, NBC will show Sunday night’s San Diego-New Orleans game, while ESPN will telecast Houston-New York Jets on Monday night.
