With baseball’s postseason schedule in full swing, FOX’s major crew shifts to accommodate lead NFL & MLB play-by-play man Joe Buck for the first of two consecutive Sundays highlights the NFL announcer assignments for 2012 Week 7 (Oct. 18-22).

Buck pulled double duty in San Francisco last Sunday as he called the New York GIants-San Francisco NFL game at Candlestick Park before heading across town to call Game 1 of the National League Championship Series at AT&T Park between the St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants.

Buck will not double up since the 49ers are playing a Thursday night game in Week 7 while the baseball Giants could host an if-necessary NLCS Game 6 on Sunday night. So, FOX moves Thom Brennaman to work with Buck’s A crew of Troy Aikman and Pam Oliver at Washington-New York Giants.

The B crew of Kenny AlbertDaryl JohnstonTony Siragusa will be untouched in Week 7 as they will call Dallas-Carolina. Sam Rosen will slide into Brennaman’s play-by-play slot on the C crew with Brian BillickLaura Okmin at Green Bay-St. Louis.

The G crew of Ron PittsMike MartzKristina Pink (field reporter) will be off for the third straight week.

With six teams (Atlanta, Denver, Kansas City, Miami, Philadelphia, San Diego) on bye weeks, the NFL has 13 contests in Week 7. FOX and CBS have five games each. For CBS, the F crew of Bill MacateeSteve Tasker will be off for the first time since Week 1, and the G crew of Spero DedesSteve Beuerlein will not work for the fourth straight week.
